The MSP consists of two main terminals. The first has seven concourses, labeled A through G, and the second has only one concourse, labeled as H. As of recent, the MSP is gaining popularity as a connection point for travelers, particularly those traveling from one state to another. Chicago is, as of yet, the destination with the most routes that transit at the MSP, with 44 routes in total.

If you are transiting through the MSP, the most important thing to familiarize yourself with is the inter-terminal transportation system. This is because you might arrive at one terminal from your first flight, and you might need to depart from another terminal with your upcoming flight.

The inter-terminal transportation system is the Light Rail train service. This train departs every fifteen minutes or so, and it can transport passengers between the terminals without any charge whatsoever.
