Terminal 2
With over twenty thousand flights departing from the MSP on a daily basis, and tens of millions of visitors catered to yearly, this airport efficiently divides its visitors into two separate terminals.
These terminals are labeled one and two, and they both cater to domestic and international flights.
This layout keeps the airport organized and maintains an order and structure that prevents the congestion and traffic of passengers from accumulating in one area or the other.
Each of these terminals has a specific set of services that they provide and certain airlines that operate at their buildings.
Terminal 2 Humphrey Airport
Both terminals have their own concourses. In total, the airport has eight concourses, labeled A through H.
All of the concourses, except for the last one, are located at the Lindbergh Terminal (which is Terminal 1). This leaves the Humphrey Terminal (Terminal 2) with concourse H.
This concourse has gates ranging from one through fourteen. So keep this information in mind when planning for your upcoming trip through the airport, as it might help you navigate the MSP better!
This terminal, named after the famous Hubert Humphrey, has the following structure:
The first level is the one dedicated to the arriving passengers. This translates to this floor having passport control counters and the baggage claim zone. In addition, this floor connects directly to ground transportation, where passengers can board the Light Rail, and they can head on over to different locations inside and outside the airport. Outside the airport, the passengers have a direct link to Mall of America and also Bloomington.
The second level is where the departing passengers head to. For this reason, the TSA control, check-in counters, and gates, can all be found at this floor.
