Indoor Smoking: No indoor smoking is permitted at MSP. Both terminals enforce a strict smoke-free policy under Minnesota law.
Outdoor Smoking Areas:
  • Terminal 1 (Lindbergh):
    • Arrivals: Smoking zone outside Door 4, near baggage claim.
    • Departures: Designated areas outside Doors 1A, 2, and 4B (ticketing).
    • Parking Ramps: Smoking allowed in green, gold, blue, red, pink, and brown ramps, 20+ feet from entrances.
  • Terminal 2 (Humphrey):

  • Benches/Shelters: Terminal 1 has a smoking shelter at Arrivals near Door 4. Terminal 2 offers no specific shelters or benches.
Vaping and Cannabis:
  • Vaping: Permitted only in outdoor smoking areas, banned indoors.
  • Cannabis: Smoking or vaping cannabis is illegal on all airport grounds, with penalties including fines.
