Most companies that operate on the grounds of the MSP operate in both terminals. The Terminal 1 MSP car rental agencies are located at the ground level of the parking ramp that is labeled as Silver. Alternatively, the Terminal 2 MSP car rental agencies are located at the ground level of the ramp that is labeled as purple.
To better view your options of vehicles, it is always best to get an idea of what’s in store for you before you arrive at the airport. Some companies even offer pre-booking a car so that it will be ready for you upon your arrival at the airport.

Minneapolis Airport rental car return
The MSP rental car return policy states that, regardless of which terminal you rented your car from, you can return the car to the terminal of your choice.
Additionally, and while the operating hours of each company differ from one terminal to the next, they tend to accept returned cars on a 24/7 basis. Do discuss these details with your agency beforehand so that everything can be cleared up.
Off-site agencies
Some companies offer their services outside the grounds of the airport. In order to get to them, they offer free shuttle services to and from the airport. We encourage to ask your company of choice about the availability of such a service.
